Suggested intervals are guideline starting points. Local Cancer Alliance, specialist MDT and trust pathways take precedence; personalise for immunosuppression, multiple primaries, hereditary syndromes, incomplete clearance, adjuvant therapy and clinical concern. Patient education and self-examination are essential adjuncts.

SLNB was considered but not done (gates nodal ultrasound for stages IB–IIC) Currently on adjuvant systemic therapy (adds treatment-led review note; overrides routine table for stage III–IV) Use whole-body + brain MRI instead of CE-CT (children / young adults <25 or pregnant patients having follow-up imaging) Known or resected brain metastases (use brain MRI instead of brain CE-CT) Increased risk of further primaries (atypical mole syndrome, multiple in-situ, first-degree FH, familial cancer syndrome)
